Job Summaryevaluating offset data before the start of drillinggeosteering the Middle Bakkencomparing data gathered during drilling with predictions made at the exploration stageadvising on drilling hazards and drilling bit optimisationtaking full responsibility for making decisions about suspending or continuing drillingadvising operations personnel on-site and in the operations officeacting, in effect, as the representative of the oil company geology teamkeeping detailed records, writing reports, completing daily, weekly and post-well reporting logs and sending these to appropriate departmentsmaintaining up-to-date knowledge of measuring while drilling (MWD) tools, such as gamma and surveys, as geosteering becomes increasingly importantcommunicating regularly with onshore operations offices.Responsibilities and DutiesLooking for a 2nd hand to start and be able to fill in as a lead as more rigs are added to the program. RBC handles most of the Geosteering along with the mudlogging.Qualifications and SkillsWellsite geology experience is necessary.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $275.00 to $350.00 /day
