Job SummaryWellsite geologists/mud loggers will be responsible for logging the well based on the state or oil company's requirements to include pulling and analyzing samples, completing logs, and maintaining spreadsheets and word documents that meet NESET reporting standards. Geo-steering the well through the lateral will be needed if required by the oil company.Responsibilities and DutiesPositions are for both lead and second hand mud loggers who will live on location during drilling operations. The lead mud logger/geologist will be responsible for working with the Company Man, Direction Driller and MWD hand to coordinate and drill the well to the oil company's well plan. Both loggers will need to be versed in gas measuring devices as well as maintaining this equipment on location.Qualifications and SkillsDegreed geologists are preferred as are experienced mud loggers with extended knowledge of the Utica Shale formation and drilling operations in the area.BenefitsTo be determined at time of hire.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 /yearRequired experience:oilfield drilling operations: 2 yearsJob Location:Wheeling, WV
