Calgary, ABContractConcourse Petroleum is looking for highly professional, passionate geologists with drilling and geosteering understanding and experience to join our team. We are recruiting a selection of wellsite geologists with 3 years to 5 or more years of horizontal drilling experience in Montney, Wabamum and other Devonian Formations, especially in deep tight Long Lateral In-Basin programs. Work is based on-site with occasional pre-planned meetings in the Calgary office.Job DescriptionA confirmed Wellsite Geologist is the on-site Geosciences representative for all types of wellsAnalyze, evaluate, and describe formations during the drilling process by using cuttings, gas, and geophysical MWD tools. Compare data gathered during drilling with data provided by ConcourseResponsible for the reliability, accuracy and quality of the all Geoscience data & measurements taken/performed while drilling, ensuring its preliminary validationFollow all HSE and A&D; rules and regulations. Advise on potential drilling hazards, contribute to the safety of operations through efficient implementation, integration and interpretation of real-time detection techniquesAct as a representative of the Concourse Geological team. Supervise third-party services such as open hole logging, coring, or wellbore testing personnelKeep detailed records and daily reports. Communicate regularly with Concourse Calgary office and company operation managementKeep always direct contact directional driller and other onsite drilling supervisors, ensuring compliance with the program of the well and participating actively in the decision process to call off critical points (like casing, landing, coring, intermediate logging, drilling phase/well TD ...)Complete all final well reports and analysis in a timely and professional mannerRequired Qualifications/ ExperienceA Bachelor or master’s degree Geological scienceProfessional designation is requiredField Operational Experience: a minimum of 15 years of field experience is required.Good knowledge and full autonomy in all "in-house" applications related to Operations GeologyGood understanding of Geophysics and Reservoir characterization for quick look interpretation.Exceptional communication skills.
