Experience the challenges, rewards and opportunity of working for one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry.This Consultant role will work as a Development Geologist.Job Objective: To provide geological solutions and support to integrated field development planning and production monitoring for oil & gas mature field and self-sourced reservoirs in North America onshore and offshore. Will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Job Description: Expected to undertake log interpretation and correlation of hundreds of wells to construct stratigraphic framework efficiently and quickly. Integrate Core and outcrop data. Expertise in geological facies analysis and correlation from log and core data. Prepare, present and integrated well information/data (mudlogs, rock properties, pressure and production analysis). Assist in the formulation of completion strategies. Provide geological support to well design, optimizing well trajectory, drilling, well workover, and recompletion/reentry and EOR development opportunities. Understand and interpret geological influences on fluid flow in a producing reservoir. Will be required to build detailed 3D geological models. Volumetric calculations of OOIP and/or remaining oil in place at both field & section level. Quantify uncertainty and potential risks in the execution of field development plan.Software Knowledge: Expert level user of industry standard geological, geophysical, petrophysical and 3D geomodel software. Preference given to the knowledge of Landmark suite of software.Qualifications:Skills are typically acquired through completion of a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree and previous experience of 8+ years with an E&P operator or equivalent consulting team.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Geology or equivalent with experience in development and production geology involving reservoir description and characterization. Proven experience in the application of sequence stratigraphy and seismic interpretation for field development studies is an advantage. A minimum of 3 years of experience working for North American conventional fields and 3 years of experience working on the development of unconventional resources preferred.Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
