Reporting to the Technical Services Manager for Europe, you will be primarily responsible for conducting Modeling and Reservoir Engineering business development actions and support activities for our main customer (ENI) based in Milan, Italy.
You must have a solid, hands–on technical background using or supporting SKUA-GOCAD for Exploration, Development and Production activities in various geological environments.
You should be able to communicate your passion for great technology and interact efficiently with the local Account Manager,the rest of the Modeling and Reservoir Engineering Technical Services Team based in Europe and R&D.;
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Earth Science; or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a G&G; company.
3-5 years of experience with SKUA-GOCAD solution with involvement in customers projects and activities from exploration to production, in particular:
Reservoir Modelling subject matter expertise with excellent knowledge of:
structural and stratigraphic modelling;
static reservoir modelling;
3D gridding: flow simulation grids, tetrahedral grids, hybrid grids;
Reservoir engineering: pre- and post-processing for Eclipse and Intersect;
Advanced knowledge of Uncertainty Assessment workflows: structural uncertainty, reservoir risk assessment and production data uncertainty
Ability to create and update simple and advanced macros
Good knowledge of geomechanics workflow (joint SKUA and Abaqus workflow): SKUA mesh requirements, export of geometry and properties
Experience of delivering results on Modeling and Reservoir Engineering projects in Exploration, Development and Productions contexts
Experience of solving technical challenges related to various geological settings: onshore/offshore, carbonates/clastic, salt, basin/reservoir scales
Ability to obtain, organize, categorize and report information related to the status of current Modeling and Reservoir Engineering projects
Meticulous attention to quality and details in the results delivery
Ability to work with a diverse user experience – from basic users to advanced users
Ability to build strong and regular contacts with R&D; department for advanced topics under development (e.g. Reservoir Engineering and Geomechanics-related topics)
Availability to travel for up to two months per year to support in other regional and worldwide customers for Modeling and Reservoir Engineering projects and to participate to corporate events.
Italian- speaking preferred
Independently provide user support and deliver workshops
Demonstrate solid communication skills with excellent customer-facing, training & presentation skills
Creativity for investigating and solving basic to more advanced technical problems
Demonstrate initiative to provide insights regarding business development actions to the Technical Services Manager and local Account Manager
Good planning and anticipation skills
