Active support to assessment of exploration leads and prospects via an Infrastructure Led Exploration (ILX) appraisal / exploration program.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization of Well/ Platform/ Field Production/ Injection/ Disposal
Work with teams in Development and Production on strategies and activities to ensure goals are met in conjunction with reservoir and injection/ disposal management plans
Ensure Well performance evaluation and Modelling (Prosper Modelling) including reservoir productivity potential
Assess gaps in subsurface data requirements and make requests for PVT samples, pressure measurements, pressure transient test, etc.
Coordinate and Lead Well Reviews
Develop water injection/disposal management plans
Proactively initiate debottlenecking (of facility) studies to increase production and recovery

Field Development
Lead all development activities for specified asset from end of Assess Phase to Final Investment Decision, honouring requirements as outlined in the Mubadala Petroleum Stage Gate Process.
Support the evaluation of tender, technical and commercial bids as required.

Reservoir Management
Develop reservoir depletion strategies and plans and ensure strict execution of same
Specify the well and reservoir surveillance plan and work with Production, Drilling and Facilities to ensure that the requirements of the plan are integrated into the overall asset production philosophy.
Generate procedures for well testing and ensuring well testing equipment is in place.
Monitor the development of wells to ensure that they are optimized as per production requirements.

Well Interventions, Workovers, and Infill Wells -Planning and Execution
Lead effort to document strategy, develop required decision trees, and decision support packages (DSP) for infill wells.
Ensure the provision of operations support during execution of planned activities.
Review slot recovery proposals and documentation for DMF
Coordinate opportunity identification activitiesand maturation of such activities to execution
Ensure the delivery of activities in line with MP well delivery process and workover delivery process

Hydrocarbon Resource Management
Lead the generation of field short term production forecasts, Life of Field forecasts in order to provide input to the end of year reserves process
Proactive well and reservoir management (RMP/WRM) and update same
Predict reserves and production performance for infill well proposals and recompletion activities
Develop and maintain reserves database
Ensure accurate estimation of reserves and production forecast using decline curve analysis(DCA) software
Prepare Reservoir Depletion Plan in conjunction with YE reserves summaries
Coordinate annual reserves effort for assigned asset and document Reserves Classifications and Bookings; Ensure PRMS rules are honored

Leadership
Lead the effective achievement of Development Team functional objectives – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise subordinate and departmental performance.
Thorough understanding of the risks & technical issues associated with sub-surfaces and surface development opportunities
Deliver results in challenging environments.
Enable the implementation of new standards, procedures and guidelines.
Provide discipline input and guidance to staff in formulating their Individual Development Plans and Individual Performance Contracts; ensure appropriate training needs are met.
Ensure overall quality cross-functional delivery of work.
Provide coaching and mentoring to all staff.

Budgets and Plans
Ensure budget availability and adequacy to cater for all planned and projected asset development activities.
Manage asset development activities within approved budget.
Identify and execute cost efficiency improvements.
Ensure preparation of annual and monthly production estimates for business plan and complete variance analysis from Outlook/Budget.
Coordinate annual business plan and Latest Estimate requirements with Planning group
Integrate with other disciplines in maintaining reservoir depletion plans, well production matrix / perforation plan, drilling sequence, and workover schedules

Health, Safety & Environment
Monitor compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of engineering activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
QA/QC of Pore Pressure Predictions (PPP) for well proposals.
Job Requirements
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, and other Sciences.
A Master degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.

Experience:
10-20 years in an asset development organisation within the Oil & Gas industry.

Skills:
Ability to effectively manage a multidisciplinary team of geologists, geophysicists, reservoir and petroleum engineers.
Ability to interact effectively with a broad range of technical specialists.
Analytical skills, Observation and Investigation skills, Data Interpretation skills, Good organizational ability, good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledgeable in oil and gas operations, facilities, interactions and inter-relationships between different functions.
