Pennhills Resources is a privately held Exploration and Production company established in 2017 and is engaged in developing oil and natural gas resources in the Appalachian region of Northwestern Pennsylvania and Southwest New York.
Job Summary
Pennhills Resources is looking to add a full-time Staff Geologist to support its' NW PA operations. Staff Geologist will be responsible for leading prospect evaluations, performing development geology, mapping potential field extensions, creating data gathering plans and working with teams to create development plans. Preferred candidates should have at least 7-10 years of experience in Geology, preferably, conventional oil and gas operations.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Lead development geology to support the company drilling programs.
Map potential field extensions to help guide development efforts.
Create data gathering plans; analyze and monitor logging, coring, drill cut samples, etc.
Integrate large amounts of data into both regional and prospect level interpretations.
Use well logs and historic well data to delineate and build isopachs, cross-sections, and reservoir mapping.
Identify exploration opportunities.
Education/Qualifications
B.A./B.S. in Geology
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in conventional oil and gas development..
Requirements/Skills
Must have clear understanding of Pennsylvania conventional geology.
Adept at integrating large amounts of data into both

regional and prospect level interpretations
Detail oriented with strong analysis skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Knowledge of Geographix or other geologic software system
Must possess exceptional writing and communication skills.
