Job Summary
Possess experience and skills listed to provide vision, leadership, and engineering support to achieve or exceed corporate goals and maximize shareholder value. Ability to work individually as well as in a multi-disciplined team is critical. Candidates should be proficient in all areas of Reservoir Engineering including reservoir characterization, performance analysis, risk analysis, well test analysis, material balance, fluid properties, volumetric reserve estimation, well and project economics.
Duties/Responsibilities
Provide engineering support for geologists, production engineers and landmen as a member of a multi-disciplined asset team executing an active drilling plan
Participate in the identification, evaluation, planning and execution of a resource play focused growth strategy
Performs production decline curve, volumetric and material balance analysis.
Works with technical staff and consultants to complete reservoir studies as needed
Performs computer simulations of oil and gas reservoirs to aid in reservoir management including analytical, black oil and compositional models
Analyzes petrophysical, pressure and production data to aid well completion, workover operations and reservoir development
Develops correlations for reservoir properties from available well data to use in reservoir simulation
Evaluate reservoir potential and determine performance potential from analog studies.
Analyze data to make well-founded recommendations and effectively communicate the analysis
Maintain inventory of behind pipe potential with reserve and economic value estimates
Mentoring and instruction of less experienced individuals as required
Skills
Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills; Candidate will be presenting to company executives
Proficient computer and data analysis skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts
Operations experience a plus
Proven team player
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline
8+ years of recent, relevant industry experience
Skilled in industry software required
Knowledge of principles of fluid flow theory, pressure transient and production analysis
General knowledge of petrophysics, geology and geophysics
Ability to manage multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines
An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
Unconventional experience preferred
Skilled in CMG and IHS Harmony
