Description

Challenging opportunity
available for an experienced reservoir engineer in our corporate reserves team.
Perform reservoir engineering assignments of broad scope and varying difficulty
in order to develop and maintain oil and gas reserves estimates and future
production forecasts in the corporate reserves database. Individuals must be fully competent in
standard techniques, procedures and criteria used in carrying out a sequence of
engineering tasks. This position has potential for upward job growth.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Work directly for the Corporate
Reserves Manager to monitor and maintain reserve estimates and production
forecasts on all properties

Help streamline and standardize
business processes to improve efficiency and consistency

Ensure accuracy of reserves
estimates within the corporate database for use in financial reporting to
the SEC and other regulatory bodies

Communicate regularly with
various groups within the company including management, regional
engineering, geoscience, drilling, production, land and accounting

Coordinate with the divisions
to understand the integrated studies related to well performance, including
volumetric and production decline curve analysis, to assist in booking the
appropriate well density to optimize hydrocarbon recovery for the
company’s proven reserves

Assist with corporate tasks
including net asset value determination and 3P analysis

Setup and maintain system to
document reserves booking for new wells and undeveloped locations; i.e.
PUD, PROB & POSS

Present findings formally and
informally at the highest levels of the company

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and

Abilities:
Prior
experience in managing people required

Strong understanding of SEC requirements and reserves
classifications

Experienced and knowledgeable with Sarbanes Oxley
requirements

Proficient with ARIES, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access
and PowerPoint), RTA; experience with Spotfire is a plus

Ability
to extract, manipulate and analyze large amounts of detailed data with a
high degree of accuracy

Exceptional
skills in managing multiple demands, including prioritizing deadlines and
working efficiently with minimal supervision

Ability
to thrive in both a self-directed and collaborative work environment

Confident,
professional and positive personality; able to interact effectively with
other strong personalities

Asset knowledge in the Permian Basin, Haynesville,
Uinta Basin and Williston Basin areas is a plus

Education and Experience:
Petroleum Engineering degree and 12 years (minimum) of
experience in reservoir engineering or related discipline

Registered
Professional Engineer License is a plus
