SR. STAFF RESERVOIR ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST (28767)

Location: Houston, TX Education:
  • Math, Engineering, Geology or Science Technical Degree OR equivalent work experience
  • Power User: Aries/MS Access/Excel/Powerpoint working knowledge of: PHDwin, Enersught, Decline+, Spotfire, Palantir Cash
Experience:
  • 7 years of technical/analyst experience required in the oil and gas industry.
  • Upstream operating company experience of at least 4 years. Experience supporting an asset team focused on development drilling and production operations is preferred but not required
Qualifications:Expert level Aries and Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Powerpoint and Access) skills required. Database experience required. Enersight, PHDwin, SQL and Spotfire experience preferred. Description:Provide technical and planning support to U.S. Onshore operations group.Own compliance model for production and reserves reporting for the Onshore Engineering team in conjunction with the FDC Team and Reserves Coordinator. Act as Res Eng DBA for all res/prod engineering incoming and outgoing data. Maintain and enhance production, well and reserves databases and reporting processes. Integrate software products and data flow to optimize res eng time spent and technical work/recommendation quality.

Maintain and build new Aries Enersight, Spotfire, Decline+ (& other Fekete/simultation) models. Prepare databases for regular reserves, budget/planning, A&D and technical exercises. Convert PHDwin databses to Aries or vice versa when appropriate. rain and support engineer in use of Access, Aries, Economic, Enersight and ensure integration w/planning Reserves and other corporate teams.

Build, update and maintain management & circulation slides, daily/weekly and monthly reports for the RE team with support rfrom less experiences technicians.

Develop slide decks for A&D and Reserves evaluations to communicate and document assumptions and results relevant to the business decision or process being undertaken.

Mentor less experienced engineer, technicians and analysts. Assist engineers and other departments including Planning/BD/Ops as needed with process, Data QA/QC, database, hardware, reporting and software issues.

  Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
