Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer
Halliburton Consulting seeks an experienced Reservoir Simulation Engineer who is capable of independently leading a petro-technical project and is capable of coaching five various levels of competence in the relevant technical domain(s). In this role, the incumbent will be accountable for the use of best-practice work processes, project, and quality in the area of reservoir optimization and management. The incumbent also will be expected to demonstrate a balance of business acumen and technical expertise, where he/she will be expected to lead or contribute to one to three multi-disciplinary Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) and/or Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects at any given time.
Master of Science degree in Petroleum and/or Reservoir Engineering preferred
Fifteen-plus years of experience in the design and implementation of IOR/EOR reservoir optimization and management projects
Must possess excellent communication and written skills
Previous experience with an E&P; operator or equivalent petro-technical consulting organization
Examples of specific Job Skills: Incumbent must demonstrate and perform:
Analyzing multiple development strategies and configure sound development scenarios for the future development of the reservoir under study
Defining the Decision framework to generate multiple development scenarios, considering different well architectures, e.g. horizontal, multilaterals, smart wells, etc. production strategies, different well locations, etc. Run Development scenarios
Integrating reservoir evaluations and building reservoir numerical models using existing simulation models, preferable: NEXUS, ECLISPE and CMG.
Desirable with knowledge in other supporting reservoir engineering tools like: MBLA, Quiklook, Cristal ball, etc.
This includes numerical simulation of chemical and thermal EOR techniques.
Must also demonstrate knowledge of optimization using smart algorithms as well as stochastic analysis
Initializing a dynamic model and comparing the OOIP numbers with the static model
Perform history matching for oil, water-cut, GOR. Interact with the geoscientists to identify the model parameters which can reasonably be changed to achieve a history match
Performing screening of Improved Oil Recovery (IOR)/Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques that would be applicable to development projects
Desirable knowledge of optimization using smart algorithms as well as stochastic analysis
