At this time, Aethon is accepting applications for the Sr. Reservoir Engineering Technologist position at our headquarters located in Dallas, Texas.
The Sr. Reservoir Engineering Technologist is responsible for independently gathering, compiling and organizing data to help with asset development and reserve report generation.
DUTIES & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Base and Wedge production forecasting
Update daily / monthly production for Operated and Non-Operated wells
Validate reserve database inputs based on actuals from Lease Operating Statements
Monthly Capital cost tracking – Actuals Vs Forecasts
Provide quality control for daily / weekly and other regulatory reports (EIA 23 etc)
Working with reserve auditors to help generate company reserve reports
Support asset development programs – Generating PUD maps on PETRA, Long range plans etc
Help team with evaluation of potential asset acquisition opportunities
Query / research data that is publicly available (TX RRC, SONRIS, IHS, DrillingInfo)
Education & Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in science or math preferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience in similar role supporting reservoir engineers
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Extensive ARIES background required
Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel & PowerPoint
Previous experience using Spotfire
SQL, PETRA, WellView, DrillingInfo, IHS experience preferred
Personal & Soft Skills:
Ability to use logic and critical thinking skills to analyze data
Ability to communicate with a multi-disciplined team to successfully solve problem
