Job Summary
This position will be responsible for managing Caerus’ reserve database and reserves reporting process and performing economic evaluations under the supervision of the Manager Operational Planning and Corporate Engineering, primarily using Aries, for Caerus’ corporate reserves, its annual operating and capital budgets, acquisition targets and divestiture candidates.
For internal reserves and planning purposes, the Sr. Reservoir Engineering and Planning Technician will be responsible for the integrity of the corporate database including maintaining up to date production data.
For acquisitions, the Sr. Reservoir Engineering and Planning Tech will be responsible for obtaining and setting up the databases and, in some circumstances, building acquisition databases from scratch for unsolicited bids.
Also, the position will have significant exposure related to production data acquisition, product marketing, field studies, regional studies, type curve generation, oil and gas accounting, commercial terms and reservoir engineering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain Corporate Aries Database.
Update operated production monthly using import routine through Access
Update non-operated production using IHS enerdeq import for Aries
Compile SEC Prices quarterly
Responsible for reporting on quarterly reserve changes for management
Work with operations to run economics on capital expenditures
Manage the transfer of data between Caerus and third parties
Coordinate data transfer on corporate reserves with Caerus lenders
Build price files as needed for acquisitions
Analyze acquisition LOS/LOE data for integration to economic model
Build or Import public production data into acquisition models
Compile base maps of reserve data by field
Maintain regional well economic models for areas of interest
Maintain Product Marketing designations within databases
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline.
Specialized knowledge
Proficiency in Aries; familiarity with Petra
Knowledge of IHS data integration into Aries & Petra
Strong knowledge of MS Access, SQL and use of tables and queries
Knowledge of ProdView and WellView
Skills and Abilities
Exemplary skills in MS Office programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.

Industry Experience
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience and work with Aries
Relevant oil and gas experience greater than ten (10) years is strongly preferred
