This position is a member of the PRB Development & Execution Team in Anadarko’s WY/UT Asset based in Denver, CO. Candidate will be a Reservoir Engineer that will work within a team environment of engineers (drilling, completions and production), geologists, land, and regulatory professionals to evaluate and plan Anadarko-operated well development. Responsibilities will include preparing economic evaluations for future investments, field development planning, tracking field performance, preparing budgets / forecasts along with economic analysis to identify future opportunities.
Minimum 4 years relevant engineering experience is required
Solid understanding of reservoir engineering fundamentals. Must also have experience with using economic and statistical methods for decision-making purposes to support field development.
Experience in development of unconventional reservoirs
Working knowledge of Aries and/or PEEP, Enersight, MS Access, and SpotFire is a plus.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
Reservoir Development: Create multi-year plan to optimize asset development in accordance with well spacing recommendations and investment decision metrics to ensure efficient and effective use of capital.
Execution Planning: provide production forecasts for midstream and facility design; generate AFEs for approved projects, and work with scheduling team to enable rig and frac activity.
Develop and maintain production type curves that will be utilized for reserves, acquisition evaluations, and portfolio management.
Technical Presentations, Lookbacks & Reviews: prepare and share periodic insights with team members and management regarding present and future investments via technical presentations, professional writing, and other effective communication channels.
Internal Collaboration: collaborate with internal departments (i.e., Reservoir Characterization, Reserves, Financial Planning, etc.) on special projects; provide technical support for field-wide analysis or area-specific assessments; and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, degree in Petroleum Engineering preferred.
This position may be eligible for relocation.
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 – 10%
This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule.
