Anadarko is seeking a Reservoir Engineer for the Delaware Basin Planning and Reserves Team based in Midland, TX. The candidate will work in a team environment with engineers (reservoir, drilling, completion, production, and midstream), Marketing, Land, Investor Relations, and Corporate Planning to provide short term and long term financial and production forecasts for the Delaware Basin Asset.
4 years of engineering experience required, with technical understanding of field operations and reservoir engineering strongly preferred
Analytical and detail oriented; have a concern for accuracy
Working knowledge with PEEP, Enersight, Spotfire, Essbase, and Aries are preferred
Candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with technical peers and management
Project and summarize the asset’s monthly performance (production, capital, resource loading, etc.) relative to budget cycles, previous reforecasts, and overarching corporate goals
Collaborate with Midstream Planning groups to understand and model regional and local production restraints
Maintains a positive attitude within the team and reinforces the importance of the teams work
Identifies new correlations and/or interpretations for valuation analyses, assessing alternative processes to review data and update financial models for optimal investment decision making
Work as an active team member supporting other team responsibilities – monitoring, screening and educating – as well as inter-department evaluation projects
Create and present correspondence for management, asset teams, and others as needed
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, with Petroleum Engineering being preferred.
This position may be eligible for domestic relocation
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 – 10%
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
