The available position is for a Senior Reservoir Engineer in the Development Optimisation division with key responsibility for
preparation of the planned CO2 WAG pilot. Drilling is planned in 2020 and 2021 for pilot startup in 2022. The pilot will be
used to optimize large scale CO2 WAG implementation in the Dukhan field.
EOR specialist staff is needed starting in 2018 to optimize the CO2 WAG pilot design (wells location, CO2 injection cycles,
injection rates), to prepare for extensive data acquisition program, to follow up implementation, to monitor CO2 WAG
project implementation. Developing the EOR competency within QP is integral part of the role.
In addition, the incumbent may be requested to provide reservoir engineering specialist support and/or lead specific tasks in
the UN division.
15 years as a Reservoir Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry with demonstrated Reservoir
studies/surveillance/performance optimization expertise in mature and large oil and gas fields, preferably carbonate
Proven experience in EOR techniques, preferably in CO2 WAG flooding. Proven experience in design and execution of
surveillance programs for EOR, preferably CO2 WAG flooding, including data management systems.
Proven experience in performance monitoring and evaluation of EOR, preferably CO2 WAG.
Knowledge of risk assessment/management and uncertainty analysis.
Experience with tracers.
Experience in reservoir fluid sampling, fluid property modelling, routine and special core analysis for especially EOR is a
Solid reservoir simulation skills including compositional simulation, preferably CO2 WAG.
Must have strong teamworking skills and proven experience working in a multicultural environment. Must be able to
communicate effectively with peers, juniors, field staff and management.
