By pushing people to reach their potential, we frequently help them find skills they never knew they had, or make career moves they never thought possible. Job Description:Whats the role and where do you fit in?We are looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer for our Trinidad & Tobago Development organization who will provide comprehensive reservoir engineering expertise to ongoing growth projects (e.g. Barracuda, Colibri & exploration) and existing upstream assets (i.e. ECMA, NCMA and Central Block). As the successful candidate for the role, you will have the unique opportunity to have a mixture of study roles focusing on growth projects, and an asset role focusing on well and reservoir management.Dimensions also include:SafetyAttain and maintain Goal Zero in the office and in the field, including strict adherence to the Life Saving Rules.Lead reservoir engineer for growth projectsProduction forecasting in support of concept select, business planning and reserves.Test multiple development scenarios and perform sensitivities on well count, well type, topside requirements and phasing.Lead delivery of field development plans.Lead process for reserves reporting, business planning and well delivery processes.Provide technical assurance of reservoir models to support development activities.Lead reservoir engineer for well, reservoir and facility management (WRFM)Identify and evaluate opportunities to safely optimize production.Identify and evaluate key subsurface technical risks and develop mitigation plans.Lead annual reservoir reviews and highlight key improvement areas.CoachingCoach, mentor and develop the skills of junior reservoir engineers to help improve technical competence levels and performance.Share technical best practices with the wider Shell community.Job Requirements:What we need from you We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an ability to work effectively in multiple teams. HSSE is our top priority at Shell so we are also looking for a candidate with the ability to integrate HSSE into plans and procedures and to deliver results in a highly changing organization with highly uncertain data. Legal authorization to work in Trinidad & Tobago without sponsorship.Bachelors or higher degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field.Minimum of 10 years of reservoir engineering experience with an emphasis on reservoir modeling and simulations.Skills in advanced subsurface modeling, reservoir simulation, material balance, integrated production system modeling, pressure transient analysis, PVT and general forecasting principles are required.IPM, Eclipse and/or Petrel experience a plus.Ability to analyze, support and communicate technical analysis and well-founded decisions to a broad range of potential stakeholders.Disclaimer:Please note: We occasionally amend or withdraw Shell jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to the advertised closing date.Before applying, you are advised to read our data protection policy.
