Data analysis, identification of data gap and improvement in surveillance & report writing
MDT / DST planning / supervision/ PVT /Core quality data acquisition, interpretation & report write up
Experience of RCA, SCAL, PVT, PTA, well testing and PDA analysis
Numerical Dynamic Modelling simulation, classical reservoir Engineering
Capability of using reservoir Eng software e.g. Prosper, MBAL, PVT Sim, Eclipse, IMEX, OFM, Ecrin, PanSys.

An experienced Reservoir Engineer to work in CBM within Subsurface & responsible for contribution in Reservoir, Production and Well inputs as required in consultation with Lead and Sr. Leads CBM. Plays active role towards integrated interpretation of subsurface data, support the field development well, production planning monitoring and analysis. The position will be responsible for Reservoir Management related studies of CBM Fields and execution of the depletion plan. He will be responsible for simulation studies and production forecasting. He will be responsible for recovery optimisation for the field and capturing risks and uncertainties and preparing the mitigation measures. He will be responsible for carrying out independently well management including real time field monitoring and surveillance along with operational planning in Base Management activities. He will be responsible for independently preparing production plan and forecasts (monthly, annual, field life).

Involve with creation and updation of dynamic simulation models by incorporating all the geo-scientific inputs, D&C; and production operations inputs

Will be responsible for preparation and updating regularly the CBM Reservoir models through simulation studies and production forecasting of CBM fields

Will be responsible for CBM recovery optimization for the field and capturing risks and uncertainties and preparing the mitigation measures like well intervention/infill wells

Responsible for updating CBM reserves inventory

Monitor real-time production operations & integrate data with geo-understanding to support operational decision making
Production and Well Data Management, generation of well templates and their periodical updation
Production data analysis, well by well using simulation technique and trend analysis

Will prepare the technical presentation and fully participate in regular Production meetings and Workshops

Interaction with O&M;, production, flow assurance team for real time field monitoring and taking mid-term corrections if any.
Will be involved in 3rd party technical studies related to field management, completion study and other studies for CBM fields
He will provide support and advice to colleagues when required, can establish rapport and respond appropriately to others to facilitate team work
Preparation of regular progress reports, technical documents and presentations pertaining to Subsurface activities of CBM

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

Independently carrying out Reservoir Simulation studies using software – Eclipse, Comet3 Petrel RE, GEM or equivalent CBM simulator
Experience in CBM/oil/gas industry with field development and production operations desirable
Required skilful application of Reservoir simulator, Eclipse, Comet3, Petrel RE or other relevant ones.
Working knowledge in using production analysis software such as OFM, well testing analysis tool like PanSystem, Ecrin and MBAL

Knowledge in Interpretation, Reservoir Characterisation and Geomodeling
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of technical specialists, are necessary

Ability to work with multiple groups with strong team working and leadership skills

Strong project management, documentation and organizational skills

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)

Bachelor in Petroleum Engineering / Reservoir engineering or related functions.
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in industry working in reservoir modelling, simulation, production planning monitoring, forecasting and analysis

Education Requirement :

Qualification # minimum B.Tech(Pet Engg) / B.Sc. Engg(Pet Engg)
Additional: M.Tech(Pet Engg)

Experience Requirement :

Minimum 3 yrs of work experience in Reservoir Engineering

Monitoring of reservoir surveillance Data analysis, identification of data gap and improvement in surveillance & report writing

Coordinate within multi-disciplinary teams in order to provide necessary input data to monitor progress of all company operated and non-operated wells, actively and effectively participates in technical meetings of JV companies and presents company views on various subjects.

Carry out complex 3D simulation model studies, Assess appropriate recovery factor ranges and calculate recoveries for field or reservoir applying conventional (deterministic & performance) methods and drive mechanisms.
Capability of using reservoir Engg softwares eg. Prosper, MBAL, PVT Sim, Eclipse, IMEX, OFM, Ecrine, PanSys
Calculate reserves and well/reservoir performance for conventional and non-conventional plays; understand the principles of production performance of coal-bed methane gas reservoirs.
Able to provide specific performance improvement recommendations through recompletions, new drilling, injection pattern changes, etc. Establish plans and procedures to effect same
Develop near- and long-term production and reserve targets for reservoirs. Actively follow reservoir performance and provide solutions to shortcomings from targets.
Can determine the key reservoir engineering and geoscience factors that influence recovery factor, number of wells required and production profile., risk analysis
Can quantify reservoir engineering uncertainties in the context of other uncertainties using appropriate ranges of uncertainty and appropriate decision and risk analysis techniques.
Analyze well testing and flow back data for estimation of reservoir parameters
Strong analytical abilities for reservoir operation
Handle Special Projects
Ability to act independently, effective organizational skills, ability to multi-task, effective verbal and written communication skills
