POSITION OVERVIEW

ConocoPhillips (Grissik) Ltd. (CPGL) is the operator of Corridor Block located in onshore South Sumatra. Corridor is a supplier of gas to both domestic and export markets. The position will work in a multi-disciplinary team that supports the management of base assets and evaluates opportunities for future development.
The position will have responsibility for the technical management of specific field(s) within Corridor. The technical management scope includes but is not limited to: long-term production forecasts, uncertainty and risk characterization, data acquisition requirements, long-range planning, reserves determination and development opportunity screening.
In addition to the technical scope, CPGL is seeking an experienced reservoir engineer that is able to provide day to day coaching and mentoring of the technical staff within the business unit.

This position is reporting to Manager Corridor Development

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Effective in an integrated team: Drilling & Completions, Facilities, Capital Projects, Production and Planning teams whose objective is to identify and screen development projects. The Reservoir Engineer is expected to be a leader within the multi-discipline team that delivers development opportunities whose scope includes characterization of risk, resource volumes, and economic value of development opportunities
Informal leader of the reservoir engineering community
Develop work programs that align with the business strategy of the E&D; department
Deliver engineering input to key processes such as: Long Range Plan (LRP), Reserves Determination, SKKMIGAS Reserves, Well Design and Delivery Process (WDDP)
Represent company to partners and SKKMIGAS.
Build, maintain, run static and dynamic reservoir simulation models to identify development opportunities and strategies to enhance field recovery
Monitoring of fields that are the responsibility of the reservoir engineer. Identify risks and uncertainties for the specific fields and identify methods to resolve key issues (e.g. Data acquisition to resolve risk / uncertainty).
Expert in several reservoir characterization skills: reservoir simulation, pressure transient analysis, rate transient analysis, fluid property modeling and nodal analysis
Participate in peer assist and peer reviews for development projects to provide feedback to the integrated team
Expected to learn COP proprietary reservoir engineering tools upon hiring
Interface with global peers to identify ConocoPhillips technology and expertise that can be applied to maximize the value of Corridor thru increase production
Understanding of SEC and SKKMIGAS reserve booking and reporting requirements
Provide day to day coaching and mentoring to reservoir engineers in the business unit
HSE Responsibilities

Qualifications

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or other engineering discipline
Technical background in reservoir engineering with minimum 15+ years working experience
Previous experience in development working within a multi-discipline team environment
Familiarity with Eclipse and the Petroleum Experts suite of software (MBAL, PROSPER, GAP)
Familiarity with drilling, completion and production engineering is a plus.
