We are currently looking for an experienced, motivated, creative and entrepreneurial individual to fill a Senior Reservoir Engineer position in Unconventional Appraisal Support team in Houston.
You will be part of an integrated team of highly qualified, engineers, and technician(s) striving to expedite and optimize economic recovery of hydrocarbons from some of the largest, most challenging reservoirs in the U.S. The Unconventional Appraisal Support team is responsible for delivering assistance to unconventional appraisal efforts and ways to improve unconventional subsurface performance in Permian’s unconventional assets in the Delaware and Midland Basins.
We do this through a coordinated and collaborative effort with numerous groups / functions (Unconventional Reservoir Engineering Technical Support groups, Geoscience teams, and Business Units). The unique contributions the Unconventional Appraisal Support group make are in identifying, representing, and mitigating uncertainties to improve well performance.

Interact with members of the Subsurface Characterization, Stimulation Design, Analysis & Interpretation, Recovery Process teams, the Resources Business Units, and key support organizations to support Appraisal Plans for assigned propertiesDevelop economic models (PEEP) that connect the activities associated with Appraisal PlansIdentify and quantify key appraisal uncertainties and propose mitigation measures if necessaryAs they arise, support the analysis of various high impact, high profile projectsDocument Basis of Design of Appraisal Type CurvesAssist in staying abreast of emerging technologies in unconventional resource playsExamine differences in production performance for selective wells in order to unlock the key enablers to improve results
Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering or related field required8+ years of reservoir engineering experience (Permian Basin unconventional knowledge a plus)Experience in economic evaluation, and reserves reportingFamiliar with key reservoir engineering and economic modeling software; PEEP and OFM preferredCreative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to implement new ideas, processes and technologiesStrong analytical and problem solving capabilities with the ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete informationExcellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet tight deadlinesMust be a team player with strong interpersonal skills with experience working in a multi-discipline team environmentStrong communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to effectively share information to mentor/develop others
