This position will:
(a) be responsible for all aspects of maintaining Caerus’ corporate reserves, including internal quarterly reserve reports as well as coordinating the year-end third party reserve report preparation,
(b) be responsible for all aspects of engineering and evaluation of acquisition targets, including forecasting future production rates and estimating reserves as well as analysis and formulation of economic and commercial parameters,
(c) be the primary engineering contact for Caerus’ senior lenders,
(d) have significant involvement in compiling corporate presentations and board of managers material related to corporate planning and engineering,
(e) participate in the operations planning process,
(f) provide reservoir engineering support to Caerus’ staff
Manage third party reserve auditors.
Set calendar for review process.
Establish budget and negotiate and execute engagement letter.
Provide data, including updated database with production histories, LOS by field and by well, and summaries of any significant changes throughout the year.
Report to management on variances between third party and internal reserves.
Conduct all engineering evaluation and reservoir engineering analysis for all acquisitions; manage reservoir engineering technologist to integrate commercial analysis into the evaluation.
Acquire and format pertinent acquisition data.
Produce consistent cash flow summaries and reports for each acquisition target.
Provide due diligence support for closing acquisitions.
Responsible for the preparation and management of all internal reserve estimates and all reserve information.
Responsible for maintaining the integrity of Caerus’ corporate Aries database while providing guidelines for corporate workflow within the database.
Produce and maintain consistent reports summarizing quarterly reserves and reconciliation to previous quarters.
Provide semi-annual data packages to senior bank engineers.
Provide clean databases and matching cash flows.
Respond to all incoming inquiries related to reserve estimates and values.
Manage compilation of annual operating and capital budgets, including base production forecasts, capital expenditures and wedge, and LOE budget.
Produce simple graphical summaries of the annual budget to present to management and the Board of Managers.
Provide engineering estimates for all qualifying capital expenditures.
Gather all data necessary or useful in the preparation of reserve estimates of proposed drilling locations.
Provide reservoir engineering support to operations as needed.
Perform other tasks as directed by the President and Chief Operating Officer.

Exemplary skills in MS Office programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university.
MBA strongly preferred.
Professional licensure preferred.
Minimum of ten (10) years of reservoir engineering. Experience
Small, Independent E& P Culture.
Multi-tasking and frequent irregular or prolonged hours.
Some travel (approximately 10% of time).
