Reservoir Engineer

Summary:

A progressive and growing, privately held E&P Company that is based in the Houston area, is looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer with E&P experience coming from large independents or majors. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Position Salary: Base (DOE)

Position Type: Direct Hire

Position Location: Houston, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Generated prospects in exploration and production environments, in different plays.
  • Participated in well planning and operations for different formations
  • Will focus on mainly East Texas properties and focus on identifying/purchasing new projects. Will work Texas primarily but look at other opportunities as they come.
  • Participated in well planning and operations for different formations
  • Help Map out formations for the company
  • Help create and brainstorm projects from conception through drilling
  • Incorporate 2D/3D Seismic mapping to help identify potential prospects, compartments, and drilling hazards
  • Manage multiple projects at one time
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Petroleum Engineering, Masters preferred.
  • 8+ years’ experience, ideally with large independent or major where they would have worked on a few projects from idea conception through drilling.
  • Must have had experience with both conventional and resource play experience, and must know how to select acreage that generates superior returns.
  • Must know how to run economics on commercially available software
  • Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must have experience with geology & exploration & production in challenging environments including
