Vice President, Engineering & Operations
  • Responsible for all reservoir engineering technical support for two gas storage reservoirs, Hill Lake and Worsham Steed. Develop, recommend and oversee reservoir management strategies.
  • Review and become familiar with the current mapping, reservoir parameters, well testing data, reservoir modelling and overall reservoir interpretation.
  • Derive and recommend a new reservoir modelling program, including a new static model and a new dynamic reservoir simulator. Use petrophysical core and log data with new seismic interpretation to better constrain the static model.
  • Review the current core program to interpret testing results. Recommend and manage additional core testing and analyses, if necessary.
  • Review the current proposals for the creation of a 3D Petral geological (static) model based on the construction of a geological database and the execution of a dedicated geophysical interpretation. Recommend contract award and manage this work by the contractor.
  • Complete Rate Transient Analysis (RTA) on current Injection/Withdraw wells. Recommend and justify work over candidates to improve storage well deliverability.
  • Complete Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) on production wells. Recommend and justify work over candidates to improve liquids production.
  • Maximize oil production through reservoir management strategies and the proposal of new growth projects, pilot programs and completion technologies. Recommend future infill drilling and recompletion programs.
  • Work with Senior Production Engineer to design well fracturing stimulations and acidizing treatments.
  • Provide technical support to Operations in regard to reservoir management.
  • Prepare annual reservoir capital budgets for both gas storage reservoirs.
  • Prepare reservoir management presentations of overall program description, costs and schedule for Board of Directors review and approval


  • Ability to work in small company, team-based environment. Must have excellent planning and program organizational skills. Must be able to document work and tailor technical discussions to the level of understanding of the audience. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Previous upstream oil & gas reservoir engineering experience required. Producing gas field reservoir management and gas storage experience preferred.
  • Experience in core evaluation & testing, seismic understanding, mapping, building a static reservoir model, building and maintaining a dynamic reservoir simulation reservoir model, well log interpretation, well fracture modelling, well stimulation design.
  • Ability to formally plan, organize, schedule and document the overall reservoir evaluation program for two storage gas reservoirs.


  • 10+ years working experience in oil and gas industry as Reservoir Engineer. 15+ years preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Petroleum Engineering
  • Reservoir modeling/simulation experience is required.
