LOCATION: Rosehill Houston
This position will be part of a multi-disciplinary multi-purpose Exploration, Acquisition, and Business Development team charged with growing Rosehill’s operated resource play assets within the Houston office. Under limited review, this individual handles all facets of reservoir engineering covering a wide range of technical difficulty. Coordinates & conducts a wide range of activities including data mining, data compilation, competitor analysis, subsurface evaluation, exploration/acquisition economics, and acquisition/business development planning.
Data room attendance, data mining, data compilation, data summary, data presentation
Coordinate evaluation of operations, land, acquisition accounting, and business development; and incorporates findings of each in the technical evaluation and recommendation.
Short fuse, quick turn-around technical evaluations & economics assessment
Field, well, and reservoir performance evaluation (technical)
Exploration reserves assessment
Manage and participate in the generation of divestiture packages including reservoir engineering, geology, land, and economics
Acquisitions evaluations using ARIES
Competitor analysis using public data
Powerpoint presentations for technical and economics evaluations
Development & Acquisition project modeling, evaluation, & bid recommendations
Mentoring junior staff when necessary
Education & Experience
B.S. in Petroleum Engineering is REQUIRED.
Minimum of 10+ years reservoir/production engineering experience with Onshore USA oil & gas fields.
High proficiency & experience using ARIES is required

Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information with engineering teams and management
Demonstrated high level of flexibility, adaptability, and multi-tasking to meet deadlines.
Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills;
