This Reservoir Engineering position is within the Algeria Technical Operations Group, located in the London, UK office.
Experience as a petroleum engineer with significant hands on reservoir simulation experience, preferably with an E&P; Operator
High level of proficiency in reservoir simulation modeling software, Nexus preferred
Proficiency modeling secondary and enhanced oil recovery methods, preferably including WAG injection
Strong computer skills with ability to navigate various hardware and software systems and strong data handling skills
Understanding of reserves reporting and US SEC guidelines
Economic evaluation experience would be an advantage
Ability to perform as part of a multi-discipline team working large and small scale projects
Team work, organization, a pro-active attitude and a willingness to carry out roles not always part of the day to day work activities
Ability to communicate complex ideas both within the team as well as to non-simulation experts
Design and execute reservoir simulation studies to evaluate performance and identify performance improvement opportunities within existing fields
Assess current EOR performance and advise on optimization, evaluate alternate methods for improvement
Advise on best EOR techniques for current and future reservoirs
Provide quality control, support, and guidance for Algerian based simulation and reservoir characterization teams
Perform simulation model updates and assemble supporting documentation for annual SEC reserves process, liaise with Corporate Reserves Group to ensure all reserves work is compliant with SEC regulations and guidelines
Coordinate with Houston based technical and ITS staff to execute projects
Perform as part of a small, multi-discipline team
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. Masters or PhD preferred.
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Occasional travel to Algeria will be required.
This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule; a compressed hours option.
