The Sr. Production Operations Engineer will monitor, analyze, and oversee the completions and production operations for TEP Barnett USA, an affiliate of Total.HSE&R; - Each employee, at his or her level of responsibility, will comply with all applicable TOTAL Group and U.S. Health, Safety, Environment and Regulatory (HSE&R;) requirements as well as TEP Barnett supporting standards.Code of Conduct and Ethics – Observe all federal, state, local laws and regulations as well as TOTAL Company Code of Conduct and Ethics, policies, standards and guidelines.Mentor other engineers, in a senior engineer capacity.Lead the development of operational best practices and sharing lessons-learned with the other engineers, including group discussions, presentations, and technical reports.Lead operational projects that impact the entire asset.Responsible for completions, production, and operations for a dedicated areaResponsible for the planning of new completions and any recompletions, including procedure and AFE preparationWork closely with other team members to ensure that the asset development activities (drilling, completions, construction) can progress on scheduleWorking closely with reservoir in evaluating well performance drivers and the development of well stimulation plansDefine production objectives with input from reservoir engineerMonitor and analyze actual production and variancesAnticipate/mitigate liquid loading of the wells by implementing gas well de-liquification methods,Trouble-shoot wells (bottom-hole surveys, build-up tests, CBL) and prepare workover procedures and AFEs to return wells to optimal production status (tubing/GLV repairs/modifications, casing repairs, gel/cement squeezes, etc), as well as plugging & abandonment of older uneconomic wellsCarry-out frequent and regular well reviews with the field personnel to optimize production and expensesTake into account the land requirements and ensure production stays within the lease termsResponsible for artificial lift equipment design and optimization, including plungers, gas-lift, chemical injection, capillary strings, pumping units. Scope also includes investigation of new methods of artificial lift for the BarnettResponsible for the optimization of the operating costs (LOE) by identifying key drivers for high LOE, assessing the economic performance of individual wells, defining a strategy to improve cost efficiency, implementing actions in the field and evaluating the resultsRequired ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering10+ years of related work experience in oil and gas production operationsExcellent written and verbal English communications skills, demonstrated presentation abilitiesAble to quickly learn new software and company specific applications3+ years of Barnett experience highly preferredJob Type: Full-timeRequired experience:Barnett: 3 yearsOil and Gas: 10 yearsRequired education:Bachelor'sJob Location:Fort Worth, TX 76102
