Estimates the production capabilities and economic value of oil and gas wells to maximize production and profitability.
Monitors a well’s production after completion.
Ensures that producing properties operate at a maximum economic rate and comply with governmental and contractual requirements.
Engages in daily management of oil and gas production operations.
Day-to-day Duties
Models, monitors, and analyzes existing and planned wells to ensure optimal production delivery.
Prepares functional requirements for well completion and recompletion designs.
Evaluates, designs and implements projects of significant scope, coordinating activity across multidisciplinary groups, balancing resources to achieve objectives within time, budget and associated performance constraints.
Provides expenditure input for capital budgets.
Identifies new technologies to enhance well performance.
Assists with mentoring and development of less experienced engineers.
General Knowledge and Scope
Applies solid knowledge of discipline-specific principles, theories and concepts.
Continues to develop knowledge of related functions and disciplines.
Exhibits command of applicable business principles, industry practices and standards.
Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable government regulations and permitting requirements.
Based on sound technical judgment and past experience, identifies, diagnoses and recommends solutions to a variety of business and technical problems or projects.
Decisions require an understanding of organizational objectives and financial implications.
Successfully organizes problem solvers and stakeholders for high-impact problems.
