Job Summary
This position is located in Anadarko's Midland office and supports production operations of oil and gas wells in the Delaware Basin. The job entails designing, installing, and optimizing artificial lift systems and wellsite facilities. Additionally the engineer will prepare cost estimates, support field coordination, and provide operational support for improvements on our wells.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience with Upstream and/or Midstream facilities; unconventional shale experience is beneficial
A high degree of familiarity and knowledge of gathering, compression, and transportation for gas and liquid production systems is required
Experience with pipeline, process, and compression modeling software programs such as SynerGEE, PipeFlo, OLGA, Promax, UniSim and Ariel is preferred
The candidate must demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Technically proficient and self-motivated with creative problem solving skills to accomplish tasks within a team environment
Working knowledge of applicable industry and regulatory codes (API, ASME, and ANSI)
Responsibilities
Design, recommend, and oversee retrofits, artificial lift installations, re-designs and installations with a focus on optimization and environmental compliance
Carry out engineering and project management to implement facility optimization solutions from inception through completion
Participate in technical reviews and provide support to other company departments
Execute multiple projects varying in size and complexity with minimal work direction
Provide reliable, safe, and environmentally sound support in the design and installation of production facilities
Focus on optimization and improvement in design including planning, communication, logistics, equipment utilization, vendor relations, quality control and safety
Conduct field reviews and identify optimization opportunities throughout Anadarko’s facilities
Perform troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis
Conduct post appraisals to identify technical and cost management opportunities
Mentor less experienced engineers to improve their technical skills
Education
Bachelor degree required; Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical is preferred.

This position may be eligible for relocation
Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 10 – 25%
Work Schedule
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
