Under the direction of the Portfolio Management Senior Petroleum Engineer (Houston Texas), the person in this position is responsible for supporting the oil & gas energy team(s) located largely in Houston Texas and Cleveland Ohio. The most important aspect of this job is to assist the engineering team in the on-going evaluation and reporting of the reserve base loans (RBL) portfolio in the most timely, efficient and responsible manner in order to protect the interest of KeyBank. Other aspects of this job include maintenance of databases and documents used in updates to portfolio reviews, price deck updates, year-end reviews and documentations, updates of important methods and tools, and support of ARG - loan workout and the Investment Banking teams.

Expert skills with database development (i.e. MS Access)
Expert skill with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Experience with I.H.S. and other data sources containing company, lease/well, operator, production, oil & gas historical and future price information
Experience with mapping applications
Experience with data evaluation tools (i.e. Spotfire & Tableau)
Assist in training and leading the engineering tech team
Assist the Houston and Cleveland energy team in evaluating new accounts and updating existing accounts.
Run and update the portfolio evaluation tool and prepare results for Houston and Cleveland

Assist the Petroleum Engineers with review and distribution of final documentation for all BBRD RBLs
Assist with special projects
Train new employees
Four-year college degree or experience commensurate with position grade

Over 10 years of experience in banking, reserve reporting or other energy related experience in oil and gas property evaluation.
Experience in client database and data posting protocols
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Legal document review and interpretation
Efficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
