We are looking for a globally experienced exploration geologist with a sharp carbonate focus and expert level of carbonate practice to creatively deliver and provide guidance on exploration prospects in the US Onshore.
Candidate must have a strong background and experience level in carbonate related reservoir descriptions, analogs, depositional environments, diagenesis, petroleum system evaluations and prospect generation. Candidate must have exceptional communication skills and business acumen, be able to work well in a multi-disciplinary team, and exhibit integrity, trust and servant leadership.
Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in exploration with a focus on carbonate prospect exploration and expertise especially in unconventional or tight reservoirs preferred.
Must have the ability to be an effective mentor and active knowledge sharing champion
Able to generate and integrate large, multi-vintage, diverse data sets including detailed carbonate core descriptions and interpretations tied to logs
Multi-basin experience describing and developing predictive models in carbonate systems
Solid technical foundation in geotechnical and petroleum system concepts
Must have excellent communication skills, business acumen, integrity, and servant leadership
Must be open minded and able to work and thrive in a collaborative team environment
Generate and mature prospects in a multidisciplinary collaborative team environment
Provide expert advice and work products on carbonate system exploration frameworks and context towards a deep understanding of these rock assemblages.
Prepare presentations and effectively communicate results, interpretations, and ideas in the proper geologic and commercial framework
Technically manage, prioritize, and advance projects
Perform other related duties as assigned
B.S., M.S. or PhD Degree in Geology or Geophysics.
This position may be eligible for relocation.
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0-10%.
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
