Provides engineering services to customers and Field Service Technicians. Troubleshoots problems with products and submits engineering design changes for problem resolution. Oversee the installation of oilfield equipment and supervise the work of Field Technicians at well/rig site.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and perform installation, operation and maintenance of equipment both at base and customer location.
Provide advice and analysis to the customer representative on location.
Supervise personnel at base and customer location.
Responsible for all quality control, interpretation and dissemination of the data presented to customer.
On-going communications and public relations with Site Customers
Service and care of assigned tools and control of any inventory carried in field service vehicle.
Analyze and resolve mechanical, electronic, and server based issues on location.
Long shifts, regularly 12 hours on site.
Requires extensive travel both domestically and internationally.
Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
Uses advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices
Works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features
Reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance
Develops new techniques and or improved processes or materials or products
Acts as a technical specialist or advisor to management and staff
Ensure that a Quality Management System is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the requirements of API Q2 and ISO9001
Initiate actions to minimize the likelihood of the occurrence of nonconformities
Report to management on the performance of the Quality Management System for review, including recommendations for improvement
Ensure all employees in the Well Abandonment organization are aware of the customer requirements
Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET certified institution
8 + years field related experience
Ability to work flexible schedule including long and/or irregular hours
Design and/or troubleshooting experience with Fluid power systems
Design and/or troubleshooting experience with Machine systems
Experience using Pro-E, AutoCAD, Creo software
Strong organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (or TWIC)
