Job Key Details:
Describe standards for sedimentology, diagnoses and petrophysics across company Asset Teams (SOPs).
Discover challenges across all assets and execute new technologies and workflows
Know and advance the company’s health, safety & environmental policy and objectives
Execute work in accordance with the company’s established rules, regulations and approved procedures, intervenes to stop unsafe acts and practices, and is concerned for the well being and safety of own self and others, including all contracted labor force
Prepare and do meetings or workshops with assets to ensure they receive the necessary technical support and advice on Petrophysics initiatives
Combine all geological and geophysical data to define reservoirs configurations, lateral and vertical changes in stratigraphic sequence, lithofacies, depositional environments and Petrophysical properties
Understand various geological data of the developed and undeveloped reservoirs and recommend well locations with estimation of geological markers, oil and gas zones, coring, testing and well logging.
Plan and occasionally update reservoir maps such as structural contour maps, Isopach maps, lithofacies maps and poro-permmaps
Conduct independent study and produce accurate data for appraisal and field development.
Required to provide sedimentology and rock typing expertise to assigned Team aiming at discovery or development of new reserves as the primary objectives
On behalf of the company, be present in conferences, seminars and society meetings to Identify new developments in the industry of interest of the Company
Write reports or papers after attending conferences, seminars as well as society meetings and circulates to supervisor and team members
Job Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for Specialist - Reservoir Geology must have B.Sc. / Master degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geology
The jobholder should have fifteen years of experience in petro-technical discipline (Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience
The ideal candidate must have spent five years in a specialist role
Proven experience in maturing and applying new technologies and participation in R & D projects.
Candidates with international experience are desired
Should have excellent leadership and management skills
The ideal candidate should be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
