As the SHP Reservoir Supervisor will have a clear understanding of water legislation and standards and the potential problems and risks on reservoir sites.
This role will support the water network team by providing the supervision and day to day running of the reservoir and boreholes on the estate. You will have responsibility for ensuring that water levels are sufficient to cope with our customer demand. You will also work along with any unexpected demands on our supply (leakages and Fire Brigade emergency use for example) and ensuring the network remains fully compliant with the technical and regulatory requirements.
As part of the role, you would be expected to monitor any water quality issues reported by our customers and attend customer premises to carry out quality testing when required.
Your Skills and Experience
The SHP Reservoir Supervisor will have the ability to establish maintenance and monitoring procedures for conducting asset inspections and surveys. You should also be familiar with systems to ensure personal safety when lone working at remote sites.
To be considered for the role, you must have solid industry experience from a water background and have thorough knowledge of associated safety practices within this sector. You will have knowledge of procedures for reporting defects and emergencies.
You will be a confident communicator, both written and verbally to deal with internal and external stakeholders. You will also be able to work on your own initiative but have a fantastic team ethic.
Within the role, you will oversee subcontractors on site and therefore previous people management skills are also required.
