Description
The Reservoir Data Analyst position (also known as Reservoir/Engineering Technician) will support the engineering staff with routine and special project work that involves the retrieval, preparation, processing, manipulation and management of data
Coordinate data retrieval, collection, loading, manipulation, and management of data into ARIES, Spotfire, and Harmony databases
Write SQL, VBA code, and MS Access queries to load, update, or delete inputs to be used in technical assessments and economic evaluations
Build queries to support quality control of data and inputs used in each database for critical projects such as capital budgeting, SEC Reserves reporting, and A&D opportunities
Provide software application support in MS Office, Harmony, Spotfire, and ARIES
Program reliable, optimized solutions or templates to increase efficiency of recurring tasks and projects
Create reports and documents to use for presentations and required deliverables to stakeholders or management
Provide general support to other teams, specifically with querying large amounts of data
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Must have experience (and be proficient) with Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL, and VBA
Knowledge of .net and ARIES a plus
3-10 years relevant experience
Engineering or Computer Science degree a plus
Personal Qualities
Must have strong computer, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as with all members of Statoil team
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must have good interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to live by “I Am Safety” expectations
