Description

We are looking for a competent and self-sufficient reservoir geophysicist to strengthen the Mariner Petroleum Technology team. Significatn experience with production well planning and operations follow-up is required. Candidates with strong UK professional networks will be preferred.

Primary focus on well-planning and subsurface uncertainty analysis

Seismic interpretation of complex reservoirs both from reflectivity and AVO inversion data

Participate on the Petroleum Technology duty team during drilling operations

Qualifications
Good knowledge of work processes and deliveries within the subsurface disciplines

Experience with applied geophysics from fields in operation

Well planning and operations follow-up

Seismic interpretation of complex reservoirs

Knowledge of depth conversion and seismic velocity modelling

Knowledge of AVO and seismic inversion principles

Understanding of risk and uncertainty analysis.

Experience with Openworks/Decision Space Geosciences is essential and additional experience with RMS is also preferred.

Master’s degree or PhD in Geophysics.

Extensive experience in applied geophysics and well planning in an operational environment required.
