Job Duties: Lead Pioneer’s efforts in leveraging reservoir simulation to improve field development decisions, such as well spacing, stacking, and completions optimization. Work with Pioneer’s Corporate Engineering group to apply advanced hydraulic fracturing and reservoir simulators, such as Mangrove. Perform general reservoir engineering studies to improve field development decisions and/or address questions from Pioneer’s senior management, board of directors, and shareholders Present results of studies to senior management and/or board of directors Mentor less experienced engineers in the use of reservoir simulation models as well as other reservoir engineering topics, such as well performance analysis. Work with management to ensure the technical development of less experienced staff. Improve reservoir engineering workflows across the Permian asset. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, masters or PHD preferred A minimum of 10 - 15 years’ experience in Petroleum Engineering Strong technical background in reservoir simulation and classical reservoir engineering Strong background in working with unconventional resources. Must have a significant background in field studies, from a reservoir engineering perspective Must be able to lead multidisciplinary projects Must work well in a team/multidisciplinary environment Salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
