The Role:The Seismic Acquisition Processing Geophysicist will take responsibility for all aspects of seismic data acquisition including survey design, scopes of work and technical specifications, tender package preparation, contractor selection and supervision of field operations.The Seismic Acquisition Processing Geophysicist will be involved in: Understanding the geophysical challenges of the existing surveys to inform the technical specifications and scopes of work.Leading Seismic Survey design, contractor selection, project planning and operations management and supervision.Supporting Supply Chain Management (SCM) in the tender invitation and bid evaluation process.Providing all detailed project planning, risk assessment and resource planning for all operational and safety aspects of work.Implementing Quality Assurance for all contractor led field operations.Recommending short-term geophysical support requirementsUp to 25% travel to Seismic survey sites.Technical consultancy for asset team on all geophysical activity including processing and attribute analysis of data. Essential Skills / Qualifications:Masters degree in Geoscience, Physics, Mathematics or relevant Engineering Discipline.Significant experience of development geophysics (interpretation, depth conversion, target selection) - hard rocks an advantageMore than 10 years' experience in Land 3D Seismic and Survey Design/Planning, Acquisition, Operations & HSE.Good command of English necessary, knowledge of French is an advantage Our role in supporting diversity and inclusionAs an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
