Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior Resource Geologist to join our community of high performing geologists, engineers, scientists, and business professionals Team in our St. Louis office.
Our clients in the global mining industry expect the best from us and you will help us deliver it by providing high caliber technical solutions for the development of mineral projects in a safe, cost-effective, and responsible manner.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
Demonstrate a “Safety First” focus;
Conduct a full range of resource and exploration geology functions;
Perform or oversee geological data compilation, validation and interpretation, geostatistical analyses, prepare geological databases, prepare geological maps and sections and perform geological modelling in a variety of industry standard geological modeling software packages. This will require working on projects as the technical lead;
Apply Golder’s Project Management standards to manage all aspects of projects;
Work collaboratively with geologists, engineers and technical staff to develop the skills and procedures needed to effectively deliver resource geology and consulting assignments;
Maintain a balance of at least 70% chargeable hours;
Work as a mentor to junior staff;
Leverage existing industry contacts as well as develop new contacts to identify, develop, and follow through on new business opportunities;
Continually apply a high standard of ethical behavior to promote and support Golder’s Core Values and Culture.

Required:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Geology;
Registered, or have the ability to register, as a Professional Geologist in Missouri;
A minimum of 10 years relevant experience with an emphasis on exploration, grade control and resource evaluation. Resource or exploration geology experience in coal, fertilizer minerals, metals and open pit and/or underground mining operations are assets.
Experience as a consulting geologist or with a technical services role within a mining or exploration company;
Previous experience working on technical geology and mining projects and contributing to technical reports;
Meet the requirements for Competent Persons or Qualified Persons under various domestic and international reporting standards such as SEC SK 1300, NI 43-101 and JORC.
Appropriate experience in utilizing geological data analysis and modelling software packages such as MineScape, Datamine, Mine Sight 3D, Vulcan, Surpac, Gemcom, Leapfrog, ArcGIS, Strater, and Global Mapper;
Fluent in English with fluency in other languages (e.g. French, Spanish, Portuguese) considered an asset;
Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentation skills;
Ability to travel internationally and to remote project locations.
