Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer- Geoscience and Technology

Job Summary

The Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer will be responsible for:
Build numerical reservoir simulation models to evaluate lateral landing optimization, production enhancement, and in-fill development
Perform advanced reservoir engineering studies through classical reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, mass balance, well modeling, and PTA/RTA to support reservoir development
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to perform full-cycle unconventional reservoir simulation, integrating completion and geologic data, with goals to reduce subsurface uncertainty and progress reservoir characterization
Effectively communicate with management, asset and completions teams, and other stake holders
Affinity for mentoring/teaching is an important part of this role

Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline
8+ years of oil and gas industry experience with 3+ years simulation experience
Must be able to work in the United States indefinitely
Demonstrated proficiency with industry engineering software packages such as ARIES
Highly skilled in reservoir simulation, experience using Schlumberger’s Eclipse/Kinetix/Intersect or CMG preferred
Self-starter requiring minimal supervision with demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work with a sense of urgency
Creative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to implement new ideas, processes and technologies
Deals with ambiguity effectively. Decides and acts without having all the answers. Welcomes new ideas and explores different approaches. Generates sound recommendations with incomplete information. Receptive to feedback
Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, delivering presentations to align others around business objectives and path forward
May require frequent travel to Midland, TX
