To strengthen its Corporate Subsurface Team, DNO is looking for an experienced Reservoir Geologist and geomodeller to support in the appraisal and development of DNO’s main producing assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct 3D reservoir structural and property models of DNO’s main producing assets and other projects
  • Steer integrated subsurface team to provide input for static reservoir model construction
  • Integrate new wells, geologic, geophysical, petrophysical and dynamic data in the reservoir model
  • Volumetric calculations
  • Seismic interpretation in structurally complex areas
  • Experienced Petrel user
  • Engagement in ongoing geological studies with the corporate subsurface group

Required Qualifications and Experience

Ideally MSc in Geology or Geophysics or, as minimum BS degree in Geology or Geophysics.

  • 10+ year experience in the E&P Industry
  • Specialist within the discipline of analysis and reservoir modelling of fractured carbonates
  • Experienced in reservoir characterization of carbonate reservoirs through cores and well logs
  • Understanding of key carbonate subsurface uncertainties and its impact to the reservoir behavior
  • Good understanding of static reservoir characterization and 3D structural modelling techniques, experience in structural modelling in compressional settings is a preference
  • Fracture modelling experience
  • Experienced user of Petrel especially structural and petrophysical modeling processes.
  • Experienced in seismic interpretation, performing well ties and general understanding of velocity modeling
  • Knowledge and understanding of other subsurface disciplines
