Corporate ResponsibilitiesAdherence to Corporate Policies and Procedures including all HS&E; rules and regulationsParticipation in Corporate and Departmental Meetings and ProgramsCompliance with applicable SOX Processes and ControlsPosition DescriptionThe Senior Reservoir Engineering Tech under the direction of the Reservoir Engineering Manager is responsible for maintaining and updating data stores associated with such related items as production history.In this role the Senior Reservoir Engineering Tech:Develops tools with pertinent software applications such as Spotfire, ARIES and IHS HarmonyAssists in calculation of allocated production volumes in all fieldsAssists in running AFE economics for new drill wellsMaintains flowback data flow from field to database in HoustonEnsures data flow from multiple sources into ARIES for use by Reservoir Engineering teamOrganizes and maintains well and field data informationImprove process efficiencies such as eliminating time intensive manual spreadsheets andcreating streamlined automated data tools.Identify opportunities for improvement and develop reports as required by engineers and management.Serves as integral technical support memberCoaches and mentors less experienced staffOther duties as assignedQualifications / Required experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, technical training and work experience3+ years’ experience in the oil & gas industry, with knowledge and understanding of onshore operationsProven teamwork, interpersonal and relationship management skillsMust be able to work in a dynamic team environmentSkills: Experience using the Microsoft suite of products; including MS Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & ProjectKnowledge and experience in technical applications such as ARIES and SpotfireKnowledge and experience in SQL, specifically querying data for export and analysisSolid organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks with high attention to detailExcellent analytical and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environment and learn/use new applications quicklyAbility to work independently and collaborate fully as part of a multi-disciplined teamFlexibility to adapt to a changing environment and work assignmentsJob Type: Full-timeExperience:Engineering: 3 years (Required)Oil and Gas: 3 years (Required)Education:Bachelor's (Required)Location:Houston, TX (Required)Language:English (Required)Work authorization:United States (Required)
