Position Summary:  

This individual provides critical technical support for the engineering associated with Business Development efforts which are focused on merger, acquisition and divestment analyses. This position is located in downtown Houston, Texas. Level and salary are commensurate with background and experience.   

Essential Job Functions:  

Reserve and Economic Analysis, including assistance in:  
* Evaluation of oil and gas reserves 
* Building, running, and QC economics  
* Drilling / Development scenario planning 
* Development of associated capital, LOE and production profiles 
* Retrieval of critical production, capital, drilling and completion parameters from various state and industry platforms 
* Evaluation of capital variance and relationship to performance 
* Building and working in VDRs * Monitoring and analysis of industry activity  

Able and responsible for:  
* Being highly proficient in Excel, Access, Aries and Spotfire 
* Creating large databases from IHS, database administration via MS Access, running economics and QC'ing input, side files and output 
* Being resourceful in finding and manipulating data required for evaluations 
* Understanding Harmony and SQL 
* Seamlessly transitioning between projects on tight deadlines 
* Building tools to enhance ability to quickly assess economic and resource potential of diverse plays across the Lower 48 
* Assessing key performance parameters from investor presentations  

Minimum Qualifications:  
* 8 years relevant experience (E&P operating, banking or reserve consulting) 
* High school degree or equivalent experience 
* Strong computer and data management skills 
* Strong work ethic, teamwork and interpersonal skills 
* References  Preferred 

Qualifications:  
* Bachelor's degree  
* Extensive experience with reserves analysis and forecasting  
* Extensive experience with economics  
* Excellent interpersonal skills; collaborative with individuals and the team
