As a senior reservoir engineer you will need to;

  • Describe the behavior of oil - and gas fields
  • Analyse production performance
  • Develop proposals to stimulate production
  • Evaluate together with interdisciplinary teams the exploration and acquisition projects
  • Analyse, prepare and monitor EOR projects
  • Determinate reserves
  • Supervision / mentoring of young engineers


The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements

  • You studied reservoir engineering, production engineering or equivalent
  • You have at least 10 years of professional experience
  • You understand geology, geophysics, petrophysics and mathematics as well as business administration and politics
  • You have operational experience within reservoir engineering, meaning you are able to forecast based on modeling (analytical, numerical, Material balance methods), Black Oil, PVT-diagrams and EOS
  • You can prepare and interpret data of well tests
  • You have experience in the application of standard software of the E&P industry (OFM, IPM, PTA)
  • You have experience in the development and review of production-enhancement
  • You have experience in project preparation, project implementation and project management
  • You have good communication and team skills

Furthermore you are willing to relocate to Germany and are able to speak English and German on professional base


Our customer is an international operator based in west-Germany. The GeoScience team is a very international team with a variety of nationalities. The spoken language is English, but documentation is in German. The team is currently looking for an extra Reservoir Engineer with a petroleum engineering background for a fixed position.
