Senior Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for reservoir engineering evaluations of KUFPEC Norway, managing producing, development and exploration assets, including future activities. Responsible for reservoir engineering support and evaluations of KUFPEC Norway license round screening/application work (New Business Development). Represent the company in external license committees and in meetings with Norwegian Authorities as requested. Member of the KUFPEC NORWAY subsurface team and contributor to all reservoir engineering matters in pertinent business activities.

  • Work with existing 3D Petrel models of KUFPEC Norway’s participating fields and exploration prospects
  • Reservoir engineering evaluation of KUFPEC Norway’s participating fields by providing high quality input into development projects and ongoing field operations, including workover candidates, artificial lift strategy, generating infill and near field drilling opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the production performance for the development wells in fields
  • Maintain the reservoir models with an integrated subsurface team with G&G; staff and generate KUFPEC Norway production profile based on Economic assumptions
  • Support farm-in and other acquisition/BD projects, including data room evaluations
  • Evaluate feasibility of EOR and IOR technology to KUFPEC Norway’s participating fields
  • Provide input to development/exploration drill decision using reservoir engineering evaluation including risking
  • Maintain good communication with the operator, partners, contractors and government authorities
  • Participate in work meetings, resource committee meetings and technical meetings as required
  • Participate in industry work groups meeting as required

Relevant candidates hold an engineering degree within Petroleum Engineering or equivalent, and 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas E&P;, including experience with an operator on the NCS.

  • Experience in building and using static and dynamic reservoir models for evaluation of oil and gas reserves
  • Exposure to reservoir management on operated development and production projects
  • Thorough knowledge of production engineering including artificial lift technology
  • Thorough knowledge of petroleum economics
  • Through knowledge of hydrocarbon resources estimation and reporting
  • Good understanding of drilling technology and operations
  • Preferably operational experience (production, well testing, stimulation etc.)
