Senior Reservoir Engineer

As the Senior Reservoir Engineer, you will review quarterly reserves data to ensure accuracy and SEC regulation compliance.  You will verify consistency and completeness of reserves utilizing decline curve, material balance, volumetric, deterministic or probabilistic reserves analysis.  You will provide reserve support documentation to outside auditing firm.  You will compile operating expenses and price differential data and review for accuracy.  You will help develop and support the corporate standard reserve reporting guidelines and procedures.  You will advise from a Reservoir Engineering standpoint on operational activities.

As the Senior Reservoir Engineer, you will meet regularly with Operating Division to understand the technical challenges associated with each play and be proficient in characterizing their reservoir projects in both deterministic and probabilistic methodology.  You will recommend collection of additional specialized reservoir data, fluid sample analysis, pressure data and other information necessary to evaluate reservoirs.  You will actively engage in Peer Reviews to access and convey program risk and uncertainty, plus prepare look back analysis to aid in development planning and calibration.

As the Senior Reservoir Engineer, you will study other Operators’ projects where data obtained will be of value in analysis of company exploration and development projects.  You will perform routine petrophysical evaluations. You will perform basic pressure transient evaluations and familiar with Fekete RTA and Harmony.


  • Must have a Bachelors of Science or Masters of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering.
  • Must have 5+ years of previous Reservoir Engineering experience at an Oil and Gas Company with experience in Conventional and Unconventional Reservoir.
  • Must be proficient with ARIES software.
  • Must have an advanced ability to make in-depth economic evaluations of Drilling/Workover/Enhanced Recovery Projects using ARIES or PHDWin.
