Description

Solid oil and gas operating company with substantial GoM assets in shelf and deep water has immediate need for two Sr. Reservoir Engineers.

Essential duties will include the following:

*evaluate production of wells, decline rate and provide input based on reservoir data
*identify and assess re-completions, reworks and stimulation candidates
*monitor field profitability, investigate shortfalls, and make remedial recommendations
*field reviews to identify additional work opportunities
*assess remaining reserves using volumetric and production decline methods
*categorize reserves under SEC guidelines
*forecast future production based on updating production curves and updates to reservoir information
*provide reservoir input to exploration evaluations
*special projects

Experience Qualifications:

*10 - 25 years experience with strong offshore experience included
*exceptional working knowledge and understanding of reservoir physics and recovery mechanisms
*working knowledge of reservoir simulation models preferred
*log analysis of open hole and cased hole logs and experience with HDS log analysis software a plus
*complete and current economic analysis of proposed projects and experience with ARIES preferred
*ability to embrace new technologies, meet emerging market demands, apply continuous improvement techniques and create new business opportunities
*experience working in a public company and current working knowledge of SOX compliance requirements
8excellent communication skills

Education:
B.S. in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
