As a result of their continuing success across Asia, they are now looking for a senior level Reservoir Engineer to work out of the Malaysia offices to aspects of Reservoir Engineering across assets in South East Asia. The ProjectsThey are currently searching an Experienced Reservoir Engineer with strong Malaysian experience to join the team as a consultant, supporting the rapidly expanding business needs.The Role• Understand Field performance; • Undertake analysis of PVT and SCAL data;• Perform well test analyses; • Construct and maintain both well & simulation models;• Work with other subsurface staff on the construction and maintenance of material balance and reservoir simulation models, and in the estimation of remaining hydrocarbon resource potential and perform related risk assessments;• Generate field short term production forecasts, Life of Field forecasts and provide input to the end of year reserves process;• Provide input to the identification, justification, planning and review of drilling opportunities;• Work with subsurface and drilling personnel to mature well locations to drill ready status, ensuring the highest quality drilling program is prepared;• Take an active role in reservoir and management strategy development;• Present to management and joint venture partners;• Participate in peer assists and peer reviews and seek input from others to ensure technical high quality is achieved in evaluations.• With increasing experience and seniority, the successful applicant will, in addition to the above:• Plan and lead projects and lead the supervision of outside contractors;• Represent the company at technical meetings;The Candidate Requirements• B.Sc. in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent) as a minimum.• Minimum of 10 years relevant reservoir engineering work experience.• Demonstrable work experience within Reservoir Engineering, acquired in a variety of Malaysian fields, preferably with an Operator.• Significant work experience with industry standard modelling packages (preferably Petrel RE, Eclipse100, PETEX suite, Kappa well testing software)• Production engineering knowledge.• Working knowledge of petroleum geology, geophysics and petrophysics would be beneficial, as the position involves work within a multidisciplinary team.To help Leap29 find you that perfect job, we need to store and process your personal information.That means that your details will be entered into Leap29's database and our consultants may contact you from time to time with relevant job opportunities.By applying you're confirming you're happy for us to do that!
