We are looking for our next Senior Reservoir Engineer
Is reservoir evaluation and engineering your strength and do you see yourself as part of a dynamic international business? Are you analytically strong with a sense of urgency, a proven track record in a senior reservoir engineering position with a profound knowledge within the field of expertise? Then you might be the expert we are looking for to enhance our competencies within the Technical and Projects Department.
As we wish to strengthen our focus within reservoir engineering, we are looking for a proficient reservoir engineer to embody all aspects within the field including reservoir characterization, performance analysis, risk analysis, well test analysis, decline analysis, material balance, fluid properties, volumetric, reservoir simulation and project economics.
Your responsibility will be to ensure that all activities within reservoir engineering are executed as well as reviewing and validating third party or operator supplied upstream project analyses to establish and present an independent view of the field(s) to senior management and board.
We are looking for a candidate that is flexible, self-driven and motivated by learning. We work in a matrix organization where initiative and empowerment are key.
Some of the things you will be doing
Ensure that all activities, for which you are responsible, are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the Teekay Petrojarl Management System Manual
In particular health & safety of personnel, natural and working environment & equipment shall be taken care of
Prepare independent forecasts and economic models of existing and undeveloped oil and gas Fields that are current or potential TOO opportunities and present to senior management
Complete an annual reserves evaluation and forecast of all upstream assets associated with TOO operation and provide long range plans for relevant assets
Support Commercial & Business Development teams in identifying opportunities for redeployment of existing assets or new builds and identify potential development concepts together with C&BD; and Operation
Build and maintain relationships with existing TOO upstream operators and potential future upstream partners
Support C&BD; teams in monitoring FPSO and shuttle tanker competitor operations from life of Field perspective if required, manage specialized contractors and consultants as needed to identify risks and opportunities in upstream developments
Support operations and/or projects to optimize production systems in delivering optimize production systems and/or productions improvements
Represent the company at joint interest and technical meetings
Recommend and maintain appropriate data gathering activities, including management and oversight of third-party consultant firms
Develop processes, procedures, & workflows for duties as required
Mentoring of junior staff and sharing of knowledge with the wider TOO community
Capture Lessons learned and ensure implementation of relevant improvement initiatives
Participate in innovation activities to further enhance TOO service deliverables
You hold a professional engineering designation, a postgraduate degree or higher within the field of expertise and have minimum 10 years upstream oil and gas engineering experience
Reservoir, petroleum, reserves and/or well design and operation experience is preferred
Experience working at an upstream exploration and production company is preferred
Basic knowledge of an FPSO is an asset
Basic knowledge of subsea system and design is an asset
Experience in North Sea, Brazil and offshore Canada is preferred
Experience with Value Navigator and/or other reserves evaluation software is required
Experience with developing and giving presentation and other material to senior management
Written and spoken English on a professional level is a requirement, fluency in Portuguese and/or Norwegian is an asset
