For one of our Clients in Stavanger, we are seeking two Senior Reservoir Engineers for delivery of reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering on expert level to assets and all projects (e.g. subsurface, development, drilling, production, etc.) where our Client is either Operator or Partner to ensure sufficient technical verification, follow-up and execution of the subsurface scope involved.

Main purpose of the role:
Delivery of reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering on expert level to assets and all projects (e.g. subsurface, development, drilling, production, etc.) where Client is either Operator or Partner to ensure sufficient technical verification, follow up and execution of the subsurface scope involved.
This adheres to all relevant phases from acquisition/prospect evaluations (infrastructure evaluations), into appraisal, throughout feasibility studies, concept studies, FEED studies and execution, throughout the operations phase and finally the abandonment.
The individual senior engineer shall work self-organized towards maximizing the value of the company’s asset/reserves.
The competence to set him-/herself the right priorities for organizing the own workforce to a certain optimum is mandatory.
Lead or be a senior part in multidiscipline expert groups
Tasks and responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining reservoir models up to date (static/dynamic)
Integrate G&G expertise into reservoir characterization and derive the right conclusions.
Lead multidisciplinary work to a compiled result for further use in the value chain.
Establish production profiles for Client`s Norwegian assets when required, including annual planning and reserves reporting.
Reserve and Resource Calculations.
Provide reservoir engineering expertise across the whole E&P value chain
Generate subsurface input on expert level for opportunities and investment proposals
Integrate asset, non-operated and exploration activity within a broader unit subsurface strategy
Analyse production data and maximize production and reserves for Client`s assets.
Identify & mature new short-term and long-term opportunities, and develop robust reservoir engineering proposals
Representing Client in a leading role in license meetings like Resource and Technical Committees when required
Initiate independent studies to promote Client’s interests in the licenses, and apply specialist knowledge to discussions with parthers to influence work programs and key decisions
Enhance Client`s competence in new technologies and innovations
Problem solving capabilities are essential to ensure maximisation of production rates and reserves.
Ability to apply decision and risk analysis in order to quantify engineering uncertainties.
MSc/PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 10 years of reservoir engineering experience (senior level) with high competence in either static modelling, fluid modelling, dynamic model building and history matching, reservoir simulation, applied reservoir engineering or petroleum engineering
Sufficient knowledge in logging analysis and well test interpretation
Possess the ability to utilize all analytical and numerical techniques when analyzing data and assets.
Experienced with the use or analysis of reservoir engineering software like Eclipse 100 and 300, Petrel RE, Prosper, MBAL, Saphir (at least in 1 or 2 of them)
