Organizational fit:
The Senior Reservoir Engineer will be a part of our Ekofisk Development Team, in the Reservoir Management group, and reports to Director, Ekofisk Reservoir Management.
The Reservoir Management group develops, maintains and collaboratively executes the Ekofisk development strategy. The plan is communicated with all stakeholders to ensure alignment in understanding and to maximize the long-term value.

To utilize reservoir engineering skills/knowledge to understand and deliver regional development plans, provide reliable production forecasts and to provide general RE support for the Ekofisk field.

Accountability & End Result:
Understand the reservoir and wells within the assigned region through various engineering methods (PTA/RTA, simulation, material balance, waterflood analysis).
Build, maintain, and communicate Ekofisk Waterflood Management Plans including updated development plans, voidage management strategies, and operating and surveillance plans.
Lead projects and progress initiatives to improve long-term production and overall value of Ekofisk asset.
Provide reliable production forecasts based on cut/cum methodology, aligned with an understanding for the planned development.
Lead Pattern Health reviews to communicate regional status with respect to waterflood and depletion status and manage the action items and tactics for each region and report on progress.

Assigned roles, responsibilities, procedures and other:
Provide forecasting support for Projects and Reserves.
Support Production Operations, Subsurface Containment Assurance, and P&A; activities as needed.
Update regional development plans within the Ekofisk Depletion Plan.
Coordinate the execution of action items from Pattern Health reviews.

Required competency (education, knowledge/experience & skills):
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in conventional.
Utilization of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbally.
Preferred competency (education, knowledge/experience & skills):
Master’s degree in related field.
More than 7 years of relevant experience working the management of a conventional waterflood.
Strong skillset in classical reservoir engineering, waterflood management, numerical simulation, pressure/rate transient analysis.
Understanding key non-discipline fields (e.g. completion methods, well operations, Geology/Geophysics).
